Before I begin, I'd just like to say SCREW YOU, INFLUENZA. And post nasal drip. *cough(x8)*
I've been a busy bee as previously stated. I'm still working on getting my Etsy shop up and running. Now that I am not working on so many gift projects, I can work on making some stuff to sell. Here are a few items I'd like to include in the shop:
These are the Creeper Armwarmers. I originally made them for a friend's son who is a Huge Fan of the MMORPG Minecraft, and the Creeper is one of the creatures in the world. Many nerds would appreciate these babies, so I would love to sell em. BUT, I'm afraid I may be infringing on some copyright laws if I do so.
My phone camera ain't so great when showing detail, but I made these armwarmers for a friend who wanted extra long ones that go over the elbow. I did the majority of the body in stockinette stitch, and used ribbing on the ends. It worked out well, but I inverted this pattern for a better fit--more stretch in ribbing without losing shape.
These little darlings were made for a seven year old girl. Again, I'll be inverting the pattern for better fit. But she sure does love them. :)
I will also be including the 'Saggy Knuckle Tuckers' and a ribbed version of 'Mortician's Best Friend' from this post in October.
Armwarmers are quick. Armwarmers are easy. Armwarmers are even year round with the right material. This is the easiest way to start selling my knitting. Sure, I eventually want to include scarves, hats and bikinis (why not?), but I don't want to get too in over my head with inventory before figuring out what the customers are looking for.
Coming up: A **hair update!!** (what? she still has hair? Didn't she sew yarn to her scalp? I thought this was a knitting blog...)
